Sourcing

The specimens that I work with are sustainably and responsibly sourced. Most are harvested from home breeders or various insect farms.

Insect farming is a sustainable practice that helps to preserve habitats and provide ethical incomes. Farms can have a positive effect on insect populations, opposed to the alternative which is loss of habitat due to farming, development, and/ or pesticides.

These farms release a portion of the insects into the wild, while the remainder are sold to fund the farm, helping to replenish species in the wild.

Many species are threatened by habitat loss and climate change. Supporting responsible sourcing helps protect these populations.

By working with these delicate creatures, I aim to educate and inspire others about the beauty and significance of them.I take pride in preserving the character and beauty of every specimen that I work with.
